I was given this as a present, and I have been very happy with it. It fits perfectly over my legs and puts my laptop keyboard at just the right level for my hands. It also works nicely as a writing desk. As someone who spends a lot of time on my laptop, this has been a real life saver. Not to mention it leaves my lap open for a cat now...

Since I always read the critiques, I was prepared with wood glue and clamps. However. after giving hard tugs to any part that was attached to any other part, the lap desk held together. It's good looking, and it arrived unmarred. However, my cats have taken care of that last.

Very convenient, does what it's designed to do. No surprises, good product! Love the adjustable tilt feature and the drawer is handy for storing my dongles etc.!

My lap desk came quick! I was lucky to have the day off during the week when it arrived because it was raining all day. The delivery guy left it on my front stoop (which is uncovered) and I was able to bring it in before the rain got to it. The box wasn't packaged in the best way but upon examining my purchase, everything was in proper condition. That being said, I really like my lap desk. I do agree with some of the other reviews where the legs do no lock into place so when you're moving it around it'll move. The legs have to be all the way out otherwise it'll collapse. To lift it away from (or on) my lap, I just hold the bottom of the legs and it stays open like I need it to. It's not ideal but I'm making do with what I have. Hopefully, the company who makes this product will see the reviews and can improve on it. I'm not holding my breath but I've done my part in speaking up. Everything else works, like the adjustable top and the side drawer. So, I'm happy.

It is a perfect choice because you can put it on your lap and adjust the lift section to where you need it. It is very comfortable on your lap.

My husband uses this desk as a TV tray for dinner at night. He uses it with the legs folded under and just sets it in his lap. The lip on the side that can be raised is perfect for keeping his dish from sliding off. I've used it to hold a very hot laptop and opend the legs to let it rest on the sofa. It works great. One other nice feature for those using it for its intended purpose, is a small drawer on one side to hold an pencil and other small items. I recommend it for someone bedridden who loves to read and gets tired holding the book up.

It's good choice for when you want to relax a little and still have work to do. I can do homework, or just doodle, and be comfy at the same time. I love the drawer feature and the tilt feature as well. Good product, thanks!

Guess the other posters were expecting solid oak at a cheap price. Not a bad desk if you aren't going to throw it around. Take care of it and I think this one'll last you a little while.

You definitely get what you pay for with this lap desk. The desk itself was scratched in some places and the flip top was loose when it was delivered. I had to tighten the screws on the flip top so that it would not detach. Otherwise it is a very study desk and has been perfect for my laptop or any additional schoolwork that I need to do. I would have liked the foldable legs to lock in place when folded out, but like I said, you get what you pay for, and this was at a great price.

Worked out great. My wife loves this thing while she studies in bed. The ply thing that could be better is the quality of craftsmanship. Other than that...great product for the money.

This tray is so handy. The legs fold under which make a great tray on an ottoman or open the legs for a lap tray when sitting up. The tilt feature on the tray is useful for tablet to hold it in place.
