Over the years I've purchased many Edmunds Stretcher Bars. I must have a set in every size! Every set has been high quality.<br /><br />The bars fit together easily and they stay in place while you work. I do prefer the regular width bars, which are wider, stronger and give more support than the mini version. Unless you have a specific project requiring mini bars, I would recommend Edmunds standard bars.<br /><br />Each set contains two bars of the same length. To make a frame for your project, you will need an additional set. The bars are sold in sets of two, allowing you to make any size frame. Remember that your frame needs to be at least two inches larger than your canvas. For example, to make a frame for an 8 x 10 inch canvas, you will need one set of 10 inch bars and one set of 12 inch bars.<br /><br />Hope you these bars will help you as much as they have helped me!<br /><br />Note: Stretcher bars are always sold as sets of two. How else could you make the right size for your project???

I'm now 76 years old - I've been needlepointing since I was 21 years old. I can remember how &#34;out of square&#34; my finished piece would be UNTIL I learned about the stretch bars. I have a trunk full of them because I always have 2 or 3 pieces of needlepoint in the works at any given time.

Love these stretcher bars. Have never had any problems with any of the sizes purchased. Always arrive in good condition in a timely manner.

Compared to other stretcher bars I've used, these are great. No shoddy cuts in the wood or splinters to take out. The fit is very tight.

These are cheaper here then any store. People should READ descriptions of items before they buy. It states EXACTLY how long, wide , and how many there are in a pack. These hold your needlepoint mesh/ canvas with tacks. It is easier to stitch and can then be framed with out the mesh becoming lop sided. Also, some patterns are not exact squares. I have several that are 10x16. That is why they sell them 2 per box.

I have ordered from Edmunds many times and never been disappointed with the stretcher bars. I have many sizes but still find I need more. So thanks, Edmunds, for being there.

Very good quality

Seem to be of good quality, smooth and no splinters, fits tightly together. You have to push with a bit of force to put them together which is good. I would order other sizes when needed.
