It's not perfectly straight, but close enough not to notice unless you're looking for it. Assembly was not difficult and it looks great in my living room

I've hung heavy winter coats and occasionally the wife's purses at the lower hooks. its very sturdy and adds to the room's furniture dcor. Would strongly recommend it

Gets the job done for my application, I'm going to add three more small hooks midway on the pole. Easy to assemble, well made for the money. Worked so well for me I bought a second one. Put the, Hat Racks, in opposite corners of my Den.

Got this for Christmas for my elderly father and the loved it. My husband put it together before we gave it to him as I don't think he could have managed it. It's not a 'snap together' item, but that's good because the item is very sturdy and doesn't feel cheap either.

Get a good screwdriver, but very sturdy. Our son bought and older house without a first floor closet. It is perfect.

I have only had this coat tree for three days. It came when promised and the packaging was in good shape.I originally purchased this coat tree for my office. But after my wife saw it fully assembled, she decided she wanted it in our entry way. So I just now ordered a second coat tree!Assembly: it took about 30-45 minutes to put together. I used a ratchet screw driver, the star key (provided) and a set of locking pliers to hold and turn the star key when it got tough to turn. All of the pieces were included and the instructions were simple enough if you pay attention to the "Letter Key" that identified the various sizes of hooks and screws. All of the pre-drilled holes matched the hooks. If you take your time and don't rush, it will go together fine.Finish: for the most part, it was in good shape. I read other reviews and so I didn't expect perfection. It does look very nice and will go well in both my home and my office. NOTE: I took extra care to not gouge or scratch the wood pieces when assembling the unit.Oh, and my 6 and 3 year old grandchildren thought the lower set of hooks was for their coats! I loved it.Jan 4, 2014 - The second coat tree arrived and my son decided to put it together for me. It went together well except that one of the hooks didn't quite go on straight and pulled up a very small section of the wood finish under the hook. However, practically speaking, it won't ever be seen unless someone inspects it very closely...and besides, it will have a coat on that hook and won't be seen anyway. All-in-all, I am very pleased with both coat trees. They look great in both my hallway and my office at work!

This coat rack is well made, simple , and heavy enough for a leather coat . It was easy to put together.

The lower hooks are too low. Other than that, its really nice. Heavy quality piece. Looks more expensive than it is.
