Thick sound blanket with heavy velcro straps. My ac compressor is exceptionally quiet now. I love it. One thing, it is one size fits all, so buy a new roll of quality duct tape to close up all seams and openings to seal noise in. Wear gloves and keep the blanket clean. Take your time and you won't have to apply tape again.

I had to (very carefully using a short ladder outside and small stool inside) climb into my compressor housing to reach the compressor and install the sound blanket. Propped the lid of the housing while I worked, and made sure the wife was within hollering range on the off-chance I needed something once I was standing inside the unit.Didn't take more than 45 minutes, all told, and saved me one $100 off the price quoted by my AC guy.Reduces high frequency component of compressor noise; makes a nice difference.

The blanket works as described and lowers the compressor noise level.Makes the noise level much more tolerable.I would buy again.

Cant believe the difference.Cut noise level by more than half on ours.I highly recommend installing one.Duct tape duct tape duct tape it.

I didn't have any issues installing on the compressor after I did a slight modification by cutting a slit for one of the copper lines coming out of the compressor. After it was on I used duct tape so seal all the seams as well as closing off the slot I had to cut. Now from my bedroom I can't hear the compressor at all. 100 improvement.

Had it installed by our AC guy. He said it went up easily. Noticeable difference of compressor hum. Knew it wouldn't be totally quiet but we hear more from the fan blades blowing than the compressor noise, which is nice.

I will say I was skeptical how much quieter my compressor might become using this product.I was impressed with the quality of the product itselfstrong material, good Velcro straps and weighty sound panels built in. It took a bit of adjustment to get the right fit, but it noticeably reduced the sound of the compressor to where the fan itself was the dominant sound.Excellent product.

I don't usually write reviews. But I felt compelled on this product because it works great! I'd say it reduced the loud compressor noise by 70. And that's a huge win because the condensor is right by my bed. Money well spent!

I wasn't sure how much noise it would be muffled since my compresor have the tubing coming out in an odd angle and the blanket didn't fit perfectly. But I was pleasantly surprised to notice how quiet it got. I can barely hear it now. Love it!
