Made with non-latex synthetic rubber. The antimicrobial product additive inhibits the growth of fungi, molds and bacteria on the product that can cause early product deterioration. The antimicrobial treatment permeates the rubber band, protecting it on all surfaces for its lifetime. Can be sterilized using autoclave and irradiation. High rubber content. Excellent band count per pound. Bright blue color for easy identification.

They seem to be fairly durable, but one must remember any rubber band will eventually rot, so don't think they'll last forever.I used them for occasionally holding things together or whatever, with the knowledge they will eventually rot.They do have a wonderful stretch, and they don't break easily, which is a plus for me

i bought the shower curtains double hooks, the curtains kept popping off the hooks so I added one rubber band to tops of the two hooks the curtains stay in place now.
