First of all price is great for what you get. I've been planting this by every tree stand or blind I have. In the hard woods, swamp, field edges this stuff grows no lie a must have for any hunter out there. Depending where you plant it it may take longer to see results normal within two weeks its about 5 or 6 inches tall. I live in Wisconsin and works great for me deer like it but your not gonna have ever big buck in the woods running towards it.

I put this stuff in a bare area well off into the woods that no one knows about. I couldn't til it or anything. Just raked it and laid in some 13-13-13. Then put my seed down with a hand sower. Immediately after, we got a monsoon down here on the gulf coast. Lasted for DAYS. Part of my plot was underwater for well over a week. Surprisingly it grew and grew well. The only bare spots I have are the low lying areas where water was up 4 inches deep and stayed for a while. The grass is nice and tall. After two weeks it was up 3 inches. As of yet(its been a month) I haven't seen much in the way of the clover or rape but they are started to emerge as well. Deer are in it and mowing it down. Look forward to trying out the Clover Crush this fall on another site I found.

My husband used this for his food plot this year, and he said it worked great. He just threw it on the ground a few days before it was supposed to rain, and within weeks he was telling me that his food plot was growing. The game camera shows at least twice as many deer now in that area. Perfect!

This is some Great Food Plot, Its my first time using it I put it in a Old garden by the wood at my parents house, so my kids could go down and watch the deer. It grows fast and Healthy Very, and Allot of food there for the Deer. It grew fast in the Fall about 2 weeks and it was 2 tall maybe taller. I didn't use hardly any tools except the seed spreader, and a lawnmower with a water weight to roll in down into the garden.

Sprouted with minimal moisture and made a nice green cover as advertised. I'll be buying it again next year. As described I basically did one pass with my disk harrow and threw the seed and drove over it with the atv to cover the seed a bit.

I Threw and a little Grew... Planted during monsoon in arizona, ever scraped it into the dirt. Did not explode into a great green food plot but some grew. 4 stars because i expected more for the price.

For anyone not wishing to spend a lot of time tilling and preparing ground for planting a deer or wildlife plot, Throw and Gro is an excellent product. We put in a large plot in a hard to reach area. The Throw and Gro sprouted quickly and thick. Even two years later, most plants will reseed or are growing from rhizomes. Read package instructions for best results. Planting just before a rain really helped our plot take off!
