This storage capacity shelf strength of this cabinet is good. There is no instruction pamphlet only pictures printed on the outside of the box and the parts are not labeled. The shelving is not a solid surface, but cross-webbed allowing small things like bolts, screws, etc. to fall through. Once put together, the cabinet is not weather tight allowing dust, water and debris to get into the cabinet. Use of this cabinet would be best served in-doors and on a flat surface.

It says no tools but I highly recommend using a rubber mallet to pound the parts together and a carpet cutter to trim the excess plastic flashing. It doesn't come with assembly instructions, but it isn't too hard to assemble. It isn't obvious either so instructions could certainly eliminate having to experiment. The crude assembly results in a hit or miss with respect to cosmetic alignment as you can see from the photo. Of the two cabinets in my large system, in fairness the lower doors did align properly. So it's not the greatest looking thing but it is sturdy and should meet your expectations for storing dirty things. I happen to be using it as a cabinet for clean things next to an outdoor BBQ so I'm a little pickier. Finally, it isn't afraid of water because it has nothing but plastic pieces, but it isn't water tight either. There are many little air gaps where water will get through but it is definitely decent shelter from direct rain.

Will you ever receive compliments on your stlyish taste in cheap plastic storage cabinets? Absolutely not.Will you ever comment favorably on the simple elegance of the sticky hinges that pop when you open them? No.Will you get your crap off the floor and organized and out of sight so you're no longer embarrassed by clutter for a relatively small amount of money? Yes.I bought two of these and had them assembled in less than 30 minutes. In the time it took a pizza to be delivered in the 80s I assembled two of these plastic behemoths and moved them into place. They are VERY light so one person can fairly easily move them around. They have A LOT of space, so you can fill them up with lots of crap. The fit and finish is laughable, but they don't look too bad from a distance.They do the job and that's it, and I respect them for that. They also seem to be very durable, I would wager these will outlive me and possibly the human race. They will serve well as low to medium income housing for roaches, or perhaps ants, long after humans are radioactive dust.

This was perfect for our garage for storage of our holiday and special use pans and dishes. Easy to ensemble and well made. Sturdy and holds over 800 lbs of weight. Better than metal as this Rubbermaid will never rust!
