Provides a bit of strength resistance in the water. I use these more often than paddles (Strokemaker, TYR, Finis Agility) these days as it doesn't slow down your stroke rate or change your technique as much.

A masters friend recommemded it. Nice to change up a workout set. Packs well for traveling on business.
Combine it with fins, paddles, & a snorkel to turn 100 meters into 250 meters in a real pool or at least a decent workout in a hotel pool.

Want the hardest workout of your life in the pool? This is the item!. The parachute isn't that large but because water doesn't permeate through the material you feel like you are swimming in oil vs water. I would say it adds 30 seconds or more per 100 yards and after a 400 straight you are wiped.

I LOVE this parachute! It adds great drag for training, and like it says you can still flip turn! Add a pull bouy and some hand paddles and you have a great shoulder and back workout!
