We've been using these for a while now. I bought them for my three children, all under 5, who seem to have made it their life's mission to destroy everything I buy. We've gone through so many plastic eating utensils, straws, and dishes in the last five years I should probably have purchased stock in plastics....The compartments are plenty big enough for three good portions of food. Meat in one, veggies in another, and a condiment or fruit in the last one is generally what I do. They're deep enough that if I make stew or something with gravy, it's not going to spill out or seep into the other foods. It's not a bowl, so don't expect to be able to ladle a bunch of soup into it, but if your kids (or you) are like mine and don't like a lot of sauce with their food, this plate is perfect to give them just enough without worrying about a mess.Food rinses right off after the meal is done. With our plastic Replay plates, things tend to stick an inordinate amount but that is not the case with these. Even if my kids forget to put their dishes in the sink and the food gets crusty or glue-like, it takes less than a minute of soaking with hot water for the food to slide right off. These come perfectly clean in the dishwasher. Some of my other stainless steel items (Instant Pot insert, anyone?) come out of the dishwasher looking spotted and weird. These come out shiny and new-looking every time. The only downside to these plates is that you cannot pop them into the microwave (obviously) to heat up leftovers, but I assume anyone looking into steel dinnerware is aware of that before beginning their search. We have other plates that we use for leftovers but these get used basically for every meal that doesn't involve heating up leftovers.
