This book has helped me improve my fingerspelling tremendously. I have used it since my first ASL class and it has given me so many tools and exercises that have helped me build the dexterity needed to produce clear fingerspelling. There is always room to improve but this book will help get you there.

I found this book to not only be beneficial when I was just starting to learn American Sign Language but also when I wanted to continue to practice and improve my skills. The finger-spelling drills are quick and the activities are fun. The book includes many different topic: cities, zip codes, sports, exotic places etc. I also use this book when I am working with my mentee. It helps me be prepared, and gives me great material to work with.

This book is so beneficial for beginning American Sign Language development skills, focusing on the major component of ASL of fingerspelling. This book breaks down so many of the rules to follow for clear and correct fingerspelling techniques and includes many practice exercises and activities that focus on learning and trying fingerspelling. This book is part of a cohesive series of ASL textbooks that go very well together as a unit and would be a good fit for any American Sign Language curricula.
