The Dayton Audio AMT Mini-8 model features a round housing and compact AMT element, for wide dispersion that easily replaces dome tweeters in retrofit or new design applications. The AMT Mini-8 is small enough to be used in compact satellite speakers, or installed in the center of a mid-woofer to create a full-bandwidth coaxial driver, or implemented in other ways -- including line arrays. The sealed rear chamber design of the AMT Mini-8 eliminates the need for a separate internal chamber in the loudspeaker enclosure.
Dayton Audio AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeters use groundbreaking transducer technology from the original Heil Air Motion Transformer to provide ultra-clean, detailed, and dynamic treble output. The pleated ribbon diaphragm of an AMT provides a large acoustic radiating area condensed into a compact chassis, for extremely high output and improved power handling.
Note: This tweeter was designed for press-fit mounting, but now includes a 2.25" diameter faceplate for front baffle mounting.

Yes yes yes. My Installer and tuner and me (the listener) all agree that this is a fantastic addition to any setup. It requires the right application but the sound is amazing. I ordered two sets because I thought it would be over shadowed by the other speakers. Could only put one set in because they are loud and clear. But be warned that I have the crossed high in a 3way setup. Crosse dat 8000 hertz. The siblance is so real and not fatiguing. I do have this tunes with a dsp. So not sure what this will do just dropped into a factory setup.

I bought these because I was looking for the super smooth sound of ribbons. These definitely have that character! They might not be as powerful as the ribbons in studio monitors or home theater speakers, but for smaller applications like the car, they are awesome
