I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's perfect for teaching my 4 year old grandson how to play checkers and tic tac toe. Very good quality and stackable checkers. The mat had a slight smell, but wasn't stinky. Got better as we aired it out.

My young kids love this! Great for them to learn to play checkers on. Made fairly well and will hold up to many years of using. The checker pieces are strong and solid. One side is ringed and the other has crowns for Kings. Worth the purchase!
