I live in a senior high rise and surprised my pinochle group with new cards. The week before, our old, cheap cards made a mess of our games by sticking together. Horrible deals, stuck cards that made us miss out on meld or play two cards at once. The new decks are much, much easier to play with. Our only complaint is that because they are thicker and stiffer, our elderly hands have trouble shuffling the cards because they are not so flexible. We can live with that. After all, half of our group actually made it through WWII as kids! (And as members of an older, 'can-do' generation, we will skip the shuffling machine). Since we play in our library room and the cards are normally left in an unsecured box, all agreed I should take the cards to my apartment each week for safe keeping. That's how much we enjoyed them!

If you're playing double deck you'll have to order two - unless you want to mix red and blue covers.
