These were too big (I'm female and normally wear an 8.5R in men's boots), but the return process was seamless and I quickly received a refund of my money. They were lightweight and would have great had they fit.

I have a pair of these in Coyote and needed tans. They are great quality boots and weigh less than tennis shoes.

Comfortable, but only lasted a few months of garrison type wear. The sole ripped away from the boot and stitching began to fall apart. Could have just been a bad pair, but I won’t chance it again..

I'm reluctant to give this such high praise. I love Belleville as a company. When I was in the Army my issued boots held up better than anything else my friends or I tried. I've personally ran the Nike, Converse, 5.11 and maybe a few others can't think of them. And unfortunately not trying to get political but overseas boots tend to fall apart faster the moment you put them to hard use.

Now the other bands use cheaper leather if they usr leather at all. However that usually lends to being comfortable right off the bat. Belleville tends to be a company that needs to be worked in. These ones however were comfortable right out the gates. Felt like my GI bells that saw 2 deployments. Had them resoled twice before died on me which is outstanding.

These ones very surprised. On my GI and other bells I needed to take a lighter to burn off all the loose stitching in order to not cause either problems. These ones might have had 1 or 2 on each boot. So their QC is even better.

Where my BIGGEST concern is the Vibram sole. I've already seen in another review it coming undone right where I feel the weak spot is on this boot. Ever since Vibram went off to make their own shoes their QC has gone way down. Now that said I haven't ran into this issue. But it does seem like the weak link. They are super comfortable. But they just don't seem as well built as they used too.

Also for those who have not got Bellevilles before I would highly recommend you trying on a pair locally to see what size you are. I wear a 12.5 in Nike 13 in dress shoes. A 11 in Belleville is like a 12.75 for me. Which is where I want it because it allows for a good insole and hiking wool sock so they arnt too cramped.

DO NOT ORDER THE SIZE YOU WEAR IN NORMAL SHOES. WARNING!!!!!!!!!

BELLEVILLE makes good boots--this is my second pair. I ordinarily wear a military size of 10.5 R but my experience with Belleville is to order half a size smaller. These were quite a bit lighter than the 590s and almost like a sneaker for comfort.

My husband loves these boots so far. He said they are the lightest boots he has owned and the fit is correct to size. Time will tell in the quality is any good, he hasn't had them long enough to see it they will fall apart as other boots have in the past.

These boots caused me extreme pain in my right Achilles tendon after breaking them in with about fifty hours of use. I don't know if that's on the boots or not, but the stitching on the heel broke immediately on both boots in the same spot, so I had to tie them to keep them from being come undone anymore.

Unfortunately, not all boot brands fit the same. For this reason, we would like to offer a few sizing tips that will help you get a better BELLEVILLE fit:

  • CHECK YOUR SIZE:Belleville boots are about 1 to 1½ full sizes larger in fit than your normal shoe size when measuring on a standard Brannock shoe device. The difference depends on the type of boot you choose: soft toe versus safety toe, hot weather versus insulated or waterproof, etc.

  • SIZING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE MINI-MiL (TR101, TR102, TR103) MINIMALIST BOOTS:Due to the wider shape of the toe box, we have found that the MINI-MiL® tends to run on the small/short side. For this reason, we recommend customers order a half size up from your normal shoe size. For instance, if you wear a size 10, then we would recommend you order a 10.5 in the MINI-MiL®.

  • GET SOME BOOT SOCKS:Try on the boots with a pair of boot socks that you will normally wear with the boots.

  • PLACE & LACE:It is important that your foot is properly placed inside the boots when selecting a size. Proper foot placement requires that the lace is drawn snug at the bottom of the lacing system. This will prevent your foot from sliding forward too far and keep your heel properly placed against the back of the boot. To improve the fit of the boot, try loosening or tightening the laces at different parts of the boot until you get the perfect fit.

  • CHECK THE LENGTH:Length-wise, when your heel is placed against the back of the boot, you should have a slight amount of room in the front of the boots to wiggle your toes.

  • CHECK THE WIDTH:Width-wise, your boots should feel a little snug, but not tight.

  • TAKE A STROLL:Walk around to see how the boots feel. Make sure your heel stays in place and not sliding up and down (this can cause blisters).
