We anticipated these steps would be far too tall for our small pool but we ordered them to make sure the dogs could get out. They turned out perfectly. We thought we???d have to build the deck up a bit but we just didn???t add the two top steps and attached the dog ramp we got last year that they refused to use. We just step over the side as it???s only a 30 inch high pool. The steps don???t float around since they aren???t fully submerged and the dogs get in and out freely. We didn???t even have to add sand. We???ll probably buy a full sized pool in the future and these steps will work great. It took maybe a half an hour to put them together, probably cold have done it faster if we would have read the instructions. Very easy, good buy. Very pleased.

Too cold to get in the pool yet but the steps were easy to put together. Got a tip from the man who installed the pool (was worried after reading reviews that said the steps would float) and he said tonroxk the steps back and forth as they sunk into the pool to help get water in them. We put 40 pounds of sand and then attached to the wooden deck. No movement. Can't wait to use them.

latter is good. bad that you have to fill it with sand to keep it down. if you don't fill it with sand the ladder will float up and when you go to get out you might put a hole in your linner like i did.

Too much has to be weighted down. I don't want sand in my pool. Doesn't really work well for an above ground oblong pool. A royal pain. Hand rails are too flimsy.
I do like the steps. They make it easier to enter the water.

It is what it is.. The instructions were lousy at best, but I got it together. It's very cumbersome and wobbly to use. Even with the recommended 40 lbs of sand it has a tendency to want to float up to the top. The base is supposed to ride on these little plastic rail like feet and 4 plastic wire ties were included to fasten these feet onto the bottom of it. They instantly broke. We've installed the stairs without the feet. Also the stabilizing fasteners aren't nearly adjustable enough. I've had to use 3 cut 2x4's on each side to fasten it to the deck. It does what it's supposed to be (barely) but it looks like crap after it was installed. If the stairs had been $99 or less I would probably have given it a higher rating, but for the money I paid for it, I expected a lot more.

Pretty simple to assemble and dropped right in. Having to put sand in the side rails to weigh it down was somewhat of a surprise as my old steps had a platform at the bottom that I simply weighted down with paver stones but could remove as necessary when I wanted or needed to move the steps around but other than that, the steps worked great !!

great!! It does need to be anchored for the steps to not float up. But we haven't done that yet and is is ok.

It does what I meant it to do, however it does not look as pictured . My sides are open . Without reinforcement the bars are not very sturdy. When the reason for the stairs is a mobility problem and you have to put weight on the rails , they are a little wobbly. We fixed that , but out if th box it was a little scary. Also because there is no bottom to it, the Filialbezirk weights I ordered , because they were recommended are worthless. There is nothing they can sit on to weigh the stairs down . Again , we found another way.
