I bought this tent as a replacement to one that I owned several years ago. I choose it because we camp in the desert. This tent is great for that because all of the windows have storm flaps that keep blowing dust out. Plus, this tent is huge! I can stand straight up in about 80% of the floor space. The metal poles are pretty good, but the experience with my previous tent showed that sometimes, the ends that fit into other pipes can become deformed, making for a less sturdy frame. You will need two people to put the tent up. Here's a tip: Assemble the tent before you go camping, following the included instructions. Once it's up, use different colored tape and wrap it around the frame pipes where they join together. Having the pipe color-coded make assembly the second time much faster. The cloth is strong, but thin. If you are staying somewhere for more than a couple of days (and I wouldn't take this tent for a weekender, it's too much), put some rugs down to protect the floor material and make the tent more comfortable.
