I purchased this for my parents who redid the landscaping in the front of their house. This mailbox was put into a stone column. It looks great and is functional as well.

Came with a brass screw (fastening closure catch) that had snapped off at the nut (probably slightly over-tightened during assembly at the factory - brass is fairly soft). I replaced that screw and it's twin with a slightly larger diameter brass screw to avoid the same problem. The box is made with heavy gauge copper - very high-quality with a fairly substantial hinge. I mounted it in a masonry pillar and solved the problem of the door swinging down (doesn't have a door swing limiter) onto the brick by making a small bumper out of clear silicone cauk applied to the brick where the handle swings down

Flimsy, wouldn't shut right...

I ordered 3 b/c I share a mailbox post with my two neighbors. The only reason that I'm not giving it a 5 is that one of the mailboxes arrived with a broken latch. Rather than going to the trouble of returning it and losing the time, my husband just fixed it. If someone in your family were not handy, however, you might have to go through the trouble of returning it if it arrived broken as mine did.
