I refer to this product as the poor mans Fluke Networks Tone and Probe Tester. For someone who does not do low-voltage work everyday, but still needs to tone out ethernet cables every now and then, this product does the trick. The great thing is compared to the Fluke Networks competitive product, this did not set me back hundreds of dollars.

I accidently one click ordered this, but decided to keep it. It works great, it's got some nice features, I like that it has a 60hz light and a green light. I like that it has rj45 and rj11 even though rj11 fits in a rj45 jack. it's been very a very helpful tool in my IT travels. I also didn't realize it had a continuity test feature. Aside from it's normal use, I use it for toning speakers as well as using the pickup for checking to see if i have music output from audio sources. it's normal usage. Super Versitile.
