This board is excellent!. It's precisely what I've always wanted for my home office. The only things left to be desired are a slightly larger marker tray, and I've noticed the top of the board doesn't quite lie flat against the wall (though that's likely my own poor handiwork).

Cons: tiny bit of ghosting, and the markers that come with it are not very good quality. Also the easel is very shallow and doesn't hold pens well. the edge needs some sort of bumper or lip to keep them from rolling off.Pros: overall, it is a good quality board and doesn't generate very much dust at all. sort of wish I'd gotten a larger one.

The board arrived in perfect condition via freight, although one of the brackets was missing, but Quartet replaced it quickly. As other reviewers have stated, the board isn't easy to install (more time-consuming than difficult), but we have mounted several different boards and the install is pretty much the same. (That said, I did learn that if you mount the hardware too far from the edge of the board, the edge will warp - we mounted the bracket a couple inches further from the edge than recommended so we could hit a stud.)The board surface has for the most part been great. The porcelain surface is far superior to the melamine board I have in another room. I have had issues with ghosting, but I have noticed that the marker and eraser I use make a big difference. The worst markers I have tried are the expo click - they are easy to use, but they don't just ghost - they smear everywhere. I have also noticed that black expo markers seem to smear the worst. The best erasing markers I have used are the Quartet markers that come with the board, and the blue and black erase the best - they don't seem to smear (unless the marks are not dry yet), but they do ghost slightly. You also have to make sure you have a clean eraser. I have tried washing erasers, but they don't usually work as well as new ones, so I replace them frequently.

Likes:The board is high quality and looks great in my home office. Price was definitely worth it if your not willing to settle for the melamine alternatives with their ghosting and limited life. I use it everyday and it suits my needs and expectations perfectly. I shopped and shopped the various alternative surfaces (e.g. melamine, glass, porcelain) and different manufacturers and am quite happy with my selection. Shipping was faster than expected and you get markers which I didn't expect.Don't likes:Mounting screws that come with the board (ones that you insert in a drilled hole and expand in the hole when tightened) weren't very good. I ended up using Home Depot alternatives. The box was open when delivered and the board was not packed real well. There are a couple of very minor indentations in the board, not significant enough for me to send the board back. Mounting was a bit of a pain but not anything that someone with a modicum of handiness couldn't handle. Helps to have someone around to help you lift it when mounting in place. Be ready to spend an hour or two and have a drill handy.Overall:If you are looking for a good quality porcelain whiteboard, I highly recommend this board and would have given 5 stars except for the packing and mounting screws.

I researched white boards for months before finally deciding to take the plunge and purchase this Quartet board. I use the board in my home office. I was a little worried about purchasing after several reviewers commented on the difficulty of hanging this board but decided to purchase it anyway.I'm very happy with the board. It wasn't nearly as difficult to hang as I thought it would be, although it's best if you have someone helping you.The board comes with a set of markers and I've found that it's best to use the included quartet markers. I purchased an additional set for larger color variety. These markers are brighter, easier to erase and leave virtually no ghosting. My son drew a happy face on the corner of the board the day we got it. After a few months, I erased his drawing and it came off completely. I also LOVE that the board is magnetic. I use our old refrigerator magnets to keep important papers on the board.Overall, I'm very happy with this board and glad I decided to purchase it.

The board is very sturdy. It does NOT have a particle board backing like some less expensive boards. It erases well, even after you leave notes on it for weeks.Installation is easy, except for having to drill two holes in the bottom of the aluminum frame to firmly attach the board to the clips on the wall. Get a metal drill bit and make sure you drill the holes just through the little aluminum lip (about 1/16 inch). Not hard, just take your time and look where the screw is going to go.

The board came as promised. We had a professional installer hang it in our office. Looks good and seems to be high-quality.

Compare this board to other porcelain boards and you'll find this is less expensive then a lot of others. It's true that the install takes about 30 minutes but I doubt a $300 board is any different. Overall, I really pleased with this product and would recommend it.

It is exactly the right size I needed and it is easy to clean no matter how much you write. However the frame is not very strong and it came already with a couple of dents.

The porcelain board is the only way to go. Easy to erase and not ghosting! I do recommend special markers from Quartet as we have had the best performance from them versus generic or general use markers.
