This safe is fine if you need a little security. It should keep out your teenager's friends but not a professional thief. I chose it because the mechanism is different from the easily-cracked hotel safes featured in YouTube "how to break into a safe" videos.Installation was pretty easy. I substituted my own screws to fasten it to the floor, however, because the supplied ones were fairly short: they'd only reach about 1/4" into the wood.I took off 1 star for the manual, which has several errors and one unclear part. I'll list them here for future buyers.1. In "Step 4. Changing the master code (Optional)", it says: "2. Enter the existing 6-digit master code [...] and press #." The last keystroke should be an asterisk (*), not a hash mark (#).2. When setting a personal code, the manual says you can use 4 digits. Actually it's 4-to-6 digits.3. When they say the master code "overrides" the personal code, they really mean this: If you lock the safe with the master code, the personal code CANNOT UNLOCK the safe. The personal code unlocks ONLY if you locked with the same personal code.
