Followed the directions and started the seeds in the fridge. Moved to a grow light situation in the house and will be planting seedlings in the garden, weather permitting. Marshmallow plants thrive in my Garden and are so pretty all summer! It's not always easy to find a perennial that will grow in the Pacific Northwest, in a mostly shaded yard but it can handle the heat, the cold, the rain...these seeds will allow me to go from one plant to several along my fence line and will be just gorgeous, as they grow quickly as well.

I put this into a Christmas Card for the one I love. She got a real kick out of it! And of course she asked me, Is this where marshmallows come from?

Lovely plants, grow well in Willamette Valley. Need plenty of water (I have them in a raingarden). The tall stalks dance in the wind in July, with flowers. Bees like them. Survived multiple years. Not overly aggressive colonizers, on my lot anyway, as they need extra water and only my raingarden has wet soil year round.
