Manufacturer Part Number: CB-12

The Valor Fitness CB-12 Lat Pull down Unit offers several workouts in one machine. From the top of the unit, there is the lat pull bar which offers a bar holder so that the lat pull bar can be easily moved up and out of the way during other exercises. Take into account that with this feature, the height of the unit can exceed the standard 80height by 2 . The lat pull unit comes standard with both a 38lat pull bar as well as a 20lower lat bar. Upgraded bars and other accessories are available through Valor Fitness.

The middle section on the unit offers a seated crunch with harness strap that clips onto the lat pull cable. Vinyl upholstered seat and back pads offer comfort while the 2 weight plates offer a variety of weight options for this workout. Simply select desired weight, secure plates with clips provided, situate ones self on the seat and attach harness. Crunches can be performed by bringing the torso forward to the users knees.

Down below on the unit is a pulley mechanism that allows the user to perform standing upright rows, stand up curls or seated rows. There is a foot plate for the user to flip up and gain resistance while doing the seated row option. This foot plate is comprised of solid steel and grip tape. Adjustable chain provided as well. During upright rows and standing chest curls, it is recommended that you remove the seat as not to damage the vinyl from contact with the chain. Seat pad is adjustable and removable via popper pin. Backside of the unit, there is a plate storage section with 2- 7standard pegs. While these pegs are 1wide, they can easily accommodate Olympic 2plates as the unit only moves up and down. The spring clips included keep the plates secure. Just make sure that the plates are evenly distributed on the plate carriage as not to pinch the cable/ sliding mechanism. The plate storage feature also provides added stability to the unit during workouts. Frame comprised of 12g steel witPewter finish and chrome/ black details.

Perfect addition for our home gym! Assembly was not as bad as anticipated my husband put most of this machine together by himself.

Rugged, stable and smooth. Everything I look for in equipment that holds a lot of weight.

Very good value. I would recommend this for anyone looking on a budget. Easy to assemble. Smooth operation. It is not for moving extreme weight, but perfect for a home workout. It feels like it should last for a while.

The machine is fine for home use. It’s less than $300 don’t expect commercial quality equipment. I have had 125 pounds on it so far and it works fine. You should be able to follow instructions and be a little mechanically inclined to put it together.

This is a strong 3 stars but not really 4 stars. This is a great cheaper cable machine though.

In total it took about 2hours for me to complete the build by myself. The cable “feeding” was the only not so clear part. If you don’t feel like reading the directions the top cable you’re fine to put the wheels on then feed it through. The bottom cable you need to feed then put the wheels on one at a time. The instructions had me believe I could put all the wheels on. Lucky I didn’t tighten them.

The top cable (lat pull down) works well. I’m 6’1 and need to put the seat all the way down to not bang the weights like crazy.

The middle cable (ab crunch) does not work at all for me. I believe it’s because of my height again. It will work just fine for rows or anything else.

The bottom cable (bicep curls) is cool. It does seem to be a lot heavier then a real low cable curl machine. But I could be wrong because these are free weights and not plates. YOU MUST stand on the foot peg at the bottom or it will flip. I was curious during the entire build why the heck that was needed. This is why. Also I noticed I needed to pull the entire seat off to really use the bottom cable for arm curls. The chain that is provided will just hinder the workout if I don’t.

But with these warnings I would still recommend this product.
