Been using fast frets or finger ease for years. Decided to try this for a change. Very impressed. Soft cotton dabber releases small amount of a slightly soapy liquid. Have to wipe excess solution & dirt off VERY well. Left my bass strings (acoustic and electric) almost good as new. Squeaky clean and lubricated, no finger drag. 2oz bottle should last long time. Happy I gave it a try.<br />I have to add something. After 2 days moderate use, my bass strings still felt lubricated. Also, with Finger Ease, it gets all over your fretboard. This Dunlop left nothing on fretboard, nothing. Every bit of solution goes on strings. See ya FE.

I never knew this existed until I had a tech give me my guitar back with this on my strings. It was game changing, love it. I prefer this brand over Fast Fret, it seems to be more slippery which I prefer.

Now that i'm more active on guitar, it may have value, but I'm not sure it's for me. I plan on replacing strings often, so is this extra step really needed. Will do more research, some swear by it, I don't cause I don't know what it does for me. I tried to extend life if old strings, I just put new ones on. On my new guitar, i'm very concerned about making a mess, so I haven't used it.
