This is a great switch but it can only operate a circuit of 20 mili-amps. If yours failed - now you know. That's the draw of about 3 LEDs on an LED light strip. Instruction specifically state - you need to use this switch to trigger a relay for power draw above 20 mA. 12v automotive relays are easy to find at an auto store and can handle high power operations. Pretty simple to connect.

Took a bit of fiddling to get position right so it would activate when liftgate was opened but it works.

Nice to be able to install it two different ways. I installed it inside the panels on a lift gate of my car for a light and it works great.

Used this for a hood switch on my Jeep. The original one rusted out and used this as a replacement. Works great!

Item reasonably priced, the shipping cost was reasonable, and the switch performed as expected in my application. It seems to be of good quality and it arrived in the expected amount of time. A bonus: it had longer wires than most of this type switch usually has.
