Bought a pair of these to breathe some life back into an old dual 15 inch Bass cabinet, and I was instantly worried that these felt a lot lighter then the original speakers and wouldn’t for some reason pack a punch, but holy hell I was wrong nearly rattled my teeth out at the gig last night. These sound better then the original ones ever, did and cut the weight of the cabinet by 15-20 pounds. Will update later if anything changes but an excellent buy for the price!

It works in my old Mackie, but if it gets too loud with even coming close to lets say 34;half way34; in terms of the bass adjustment... it starts popping bad.

I liked the ease of installation of this speaker to a cabinet purchased in 1973. I am glad to know that I can find replacement speakers if needed in the future.

Whenever you need a very good top-end speaker for your music system, this is the speaker to have. The voice quality is superb. Just make sure that your top-end power amps is of good quality (e.g Crown power amps) to deliver the quality sound.

Put in Ampeg B15n as replacement to replacement to original. Sounds like B15 should so I am happy. Not as heavy as replacement to original which was an obscure West Laboraties 15” speaker. Also I can use my GK mb200 head if B15 not loud enough for bass gigs since this speaker can take up to 300W.

Replaced a driver in my Samson 2-15 inch cabinet. Lots of midrange, and lots of punch. Highly recommended for this application. A huge upgrade over the original.

I’ve been putting eminence Betas in my bass cabinets for a long time, for almost 20 years at this point. The 4x12 I built is still going strong after 6-7 years. I put some in a 2x15 Randall cab in 2003 and it has been passed down through a few different people and is still going strong, despite many tours and a lot of use. I run a lot of power and push these speakers hard and they just keep going. Did I mention the tone yet? Smooth, great bottom end (even on that low A or B) and crisp midrange that gives my distortion a great crunch without being harsh. So what else would I choose for my latest build? I have a 1x15 cab that needs a driver, so I will be ordering another one soon. Thanks, Eminence!
