So I lost my speedo MDR 2.5 snorkeling in Costa Rica along with my GoPro for that matter! I was a little upset about the goggles though because the MDR goggles from speedo are unbelievably amazing very close to the quality of these goggles I’m almost tempted to say these goggles might be even better and that’s good news for me because when I know I could not replace the MDR goggles because speedo doesn’t make them anymore and you literally can’t find them I was hoping to find something close to live up to the expectation and these do! I bought the 2.0‘s after this a TYR special ops 2.0 but I’m not even going to use them because I can just tell by looking at them the nose bridge is not an upgraded version like the 3.0 more flexible.. The anti-fog and peripheral view is next to none exceeded expectations so far! Do not hesitate to buy these and get them with the Polaroid lens because why not! I’m buying a second pair for back up because I don’t wanna run into the same situation that I did with my speedo and not have a back up pair!

I thought the the new mechansim would be great for adjusting. But the lock slips when wet so you need to make a knot with the excess strap so that they stay at your measument. It's an easy fix though.

These goggles last better than the TYR Special Ops 3.0 which I bought previously (three pairs). The anti-fog worked for a few days only.

So, I buy goggles that work for my need. Why not five stars. I've had them for months now and daily swims; They are holding up well enough with care I make sure to give after exiting salt water. I'll return to update my review if product earns 5.

Love the 2.0 but this review is about the 3.0. The straps on the 3.0 will not stay tight. If you pull on them they slip past the retention system. Might not be a huge problem in a pool but is a non-starter for swimming in a tri. Returned and ordered another pair of 2.0.

After about a month the straps would not hold tension. Looks to me like the cheap and cheerful little black button mechanism is allowing the straps to loosen. TYR needs more work on this.

Ordered these TYR Special Ops 3.0 due to a delivery advantage over my normal TYR S.O. 2.0. The gasket appears the same as to 2.0 series, but the head strap mechanism is drastically different. Yes, it's a mechanism. You pull to tighten, and then push a button to release the tension. Except, if you tug a little bit on the strap, it loosens anyway (button press not required). And in my case, just turning your head from side to side or pulling up out of the water to sight is enough to loosen them.I wore these during a triathlon in openwater and found myself struggling to keep them tight. They worked fine in the pool, but for what ever reason they just didn't work out in openwater.

Good for swimming laps outdoors and indoors in changing light..seem to seal water out without being excessively tight.

Very comfortable fit with no leakage, and excellent value for a swimmer's daily use in lap swimming.

I ordered clear lens and I got transition lenses. Not a huge deal but for inside swimming I prefer clear. Hopefully, they will not leak......UPDATE: after using for my lap swims a couple of times now, I can say they are fairly comfortable and don't easily leak. I would recommend.
