These canisters were beautiful but I found some larger for the big area of my counter I wanted to fill. I also was worried the handles were a bit delicate for a lot of use.

We got several more sets to add to the collection we got at our wedding time 16 years ago. They must make these in a different factory and possibly even in a different country. The dishes feel thicker or at least heavier than our originals. This goes for all of them, the coffee mugs, plates, etc. The molds aren't as defined as they used to be or the glaze is thicker as some of the fine detailing on the sides is mushed out. Standalone, they are beautiful and you wouldn't think anything of it but even after a couple months I can instantly tell if I have an older version or the new one in my hand. I hope they are as durable as the older set.
