Product Description
This is a replacement pendulum 1" wide. It has a .51 ID oil bearing axle and uses a 12mm bolt and lock tight nut (product # SH168). This product should last 2 years in harsh conditions and up to 5 years in optimal conditions. Some conditions may require replacement sooner. Tensile strength 11800 lbs. Sold as individual pendulums. Nut & bolt not included.
This is for children 0 - 12 year olds only. Adults should supervise children at all times. Do not allow children to use unsafely. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.

Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.
To help keep children safe from harm, review installation and maintenance instructions before installing equipment. Our website also has a "Product Testing Information" page. All products are tested for lead, phthalates and tensile strength.
Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions.
Take the bolt out of swing hanger to replace old pendulum with this new one. Make sure that when you place bolt back through bushing in pendulum that the nut is reattached snugly. After tightening, the threads should not be showing more than two threads past the nut. You will need to use S-hooks or shackles from the chain to the swing hangers. Make sure the S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. To do this you will need to use our S-hook pliers or a regular pair of channel lock pliers. Close according to Fig A1.19 for Fastening Devices. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking. If using an H-shackle the large end goes thru the swing hanger. Using a H175 wrench to open and close bolts. Make sure that if you are using shackles they are also tightened.
Maintenance: At beginning and end of each play season and once a month during play season, check for sharp edges and/or cracks in hanger, paying particular attention to surface around bolt holes. Check to see if oil lite bearing in swing hanger pendulum is worn or cracking. When worn or cracked, replace pendulum. Check for vandalism. Replace parts if necessary. Check to make sure lock nuts are tight. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records for public-use playground equipment.
Any damage from vandalism, abuse or misuse VOIDS all warranties.
