I always had the hardest time finding a water heater. I love how this heater tells you the temperature and still heats the tank. This product is a little pricey and bulky in my 2.5 gal tank but I still enjoy this product very much.

I've used this heater for a little over a year, and it's been reliable so far. Temp has been accurate and steady, and is easy to set. One thing I don't love is that it needs to be plugged into a GFCI outlet. Since I don't have one in the room where I am running the tank, I had to buy a GFCI adapter to use the heater.

I'm gonna add stars later on depending how well it performs as intended, but for now it's a one star, because it was broken where it closes thats why there's a gap in the enclosure and can't fully close as intended, making it where it makes a clicking sound. They may also be used or at least taken out of their package, because these are branded as turtletherms on the back of the heater, which is a different heater, but the same one, just with the name turtle slapped on it to drive the price up, so basically we're the smart ones for not falling for scam advertising.

I liked when it worked, but now this thing just says 99 and doesn't make a sound, has no heat or anything. My turtle could have died if I didn't go check the temperature in the water!

It keeps the temp you desire, and some people think there's a fan involved that circulates water but that is not the case. It's nothing more than a well designed water heater.
