I bought this in order to be able to test powered things when I buy stuff on Facebook Marketplace. When I got it, I plugged it into the car port in the back of my tahoe and it worked from what I could tell, and was reaffirmed in my observations when I tested a powered subwoofer in the middle of a Best Buy parking lot. Was honestly vindicating as I had been scammed- well, bought something that didn't work and just trusting the guy- before, and I was happy to see the results of this purchase. Don't know the longevity though as I have honestly only used it once, and I keep it unplugged when I'm not using it because my car doesn't turn off the ports when its off and will drain its own battery.

I bought these back in 2017 to be able to have power while my husband was driving a semi truck. He no longer drives and truck but these are in all of our vehicles, in his out-of-town bag, and weve even let friends and family borrow them for trips. We always take these on trips and they work really well. They do make a small humming noise. I love that they have a on/off switch on the back so you dont have to unplug it but you can cut power to the device. I also love how you can hook multiple items to it. We usually have this baby full when we go out of town and we have never had a problem.10/10 would recommend..Date Start: Oct 1st, 2017Todays Date: January 30th, 2023 and still going strong

Originally, I got this as an indoor back-up power supply that I have running off of a 530 MCA deep cycle marine battery. I have another inverter that is 50 lower continuous output power (150 watts) and its internal cooling fan (bushings instead of ball bearings) quit. This unit says to have a Smart Fan, so I thought I give it a try. It runs much quieter than the 150-watt inverter with single speed cooling fan (when it used to run). I tried to get the cooling fan on this 300-watt inverter to run faster by increasing the load, but the fan didn't increase much on speed. But the inverter wasn't getting warm either as the load was only 212 watts, not the full 300 watts.Right now, I have the 300-watt inverter powering my 8-channel security camera set-up with DVR via since the old APC Smart UPS 700 keeps melting the batteries. The UPS doesn't stop charging the batteries when they become fully charged, causing them to overheat melt. So for now, the camera set-up is running off of the 300-watt inverter, which is running off of the marine battery, which that is charged by an automatic battery charger/conditioner. This current configuration will run the DVR cameras for 3 full days on a charge versus a couple hours on the UPS.
