D-PRE Preamps
The preamp is where your sound begins, and determines the quality and character of your overall mix. The importance of this inspired Yamaha to develop the fattest and warmest sounding preamp possible: the D-PRE mic preamp. Perfectly integrated into the MG10, the D-PRE delivers more power with lower impedance, meaning the full depth and character of your original sound will be delivered with fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs. Having a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to reach your perfect mix.
1-Knob Compression
Compressing with the MG10 is made simple with 1-knob compression on channels 1 and 2. This intelligent compressor adds optimally set compressions when you need livelier guitars, punchier bass lines, a tighter snare, or a cleaner vocal sound with the touch of a single knob.
Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch
With phantom power, the MG10 allows you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and sound quality of condenser microphones. The input channels with PAD switch accept MIC to line level inputs, and the PAD switch reduces high input signals that often accompany instruments during performance, avoiding the clipping that can seriously affect your mix.
EQ and High-Pass Filters

Multiple Input/Output Connectors
Yamaha's MG10 uses high-quality Neutrik XLR - 1/4" connectors on mono microphone/line channels. Each of the mono inputs is equipped with a combo jack and accepts both MIC and LINE level signals. The stereo inputs are equipped with phone connectors accepting LINE level signals and can be used either mono or stereo. Two stereo channels also feature RCA connectors for LINE level signals. The MG10 also boasts balanced phone and XLR outputs, a rare feature on a piece of gear of this convenient size and affordable price point.

Good Quality Mixer! I bought this mixer for my band, and it worked fine. After a few years thought with 5th channel burnt out! It still worked, but the mic preamp died, and the volume fader was crackly. Of course, maybe I got a bad board. Still, even without a channel this board works great!

Fantastic mixer for a newbie. I use it with Yamaha: 2xDXR15, 1xDXS15(sub), 2x Bose F1(subs) and a JBL EON208P system. I get enough imputs and great sound.
