I owe several bits but this one is just amazing. Cuts like a knife a very sharp one. I will be buying different sizes.

Bought this for a specific project on a recommendation from a Review on the other item. Glad I did, cuts fast, cuts clean. Just be careful, it will pull you through the wood quickly. After I used it on my project I had contractors at my house remolding my kitchen. I saw one of the workers trying to use a spade bit to bore holes for electrical. I went and grabbed this bit and handed to him and told him to try it. He was in awe how well it worked and cut his time down. Now I just need my commission for selling a whole construction crew on these bits lol

It drills very smooth, effortless 3/4 inch holes for an auger bit. I was drilling holes in a 6” thick hardwood work bench top. I tried a brad point, Irwin speedbor auger, and the wood owl. The wood owl outperform all of them. I was surprised it did better that the brad but the brad took a lot of force to push without a drill press and wasn't as smooth a cut in the end. I wish I had started with the wood owl. The hex shank is a littler larger than the standard 1/4” but it works as a round shank as well, which is how I used it. Fantastic bit.

I was drilling 2 maple with a 3/4 drill, and a lot of them. First I tried with a forstner bit and it was slow and a lot of effort. Then I bought this drill bit and I couldn't believe how quickly and effortlessly I could drill through. So easy I added additional holes in my work bench top. The holes were clean and neat. Even the wood chips it made were nice looking and consistent. 6 stars, . Nicest thing I have bought in a long time.

These bits cut cleanly and accurately with no tearing of the wood on entry. The inside of the holes are clean and smooth. I've used the bit on pine, maple, birch, and other woods.They also take less effort to turn than a typical bit. Would highly recommend this product.

Pre-drill with a 3/16 bit then chuck this into a beefy hand held drill with some torque at low speed setting.You will get the most beautifully crisp holes with a polished finish.Just when the auger tip pops out the opposite side it will stop feeding itself into the wood and you'll feel increased resistance.Now finish drilling this last 1/8 from the far side for zero tear out on either side.

I'm quite impressed with how well this bit bores compared to other bits I have in similar sizes. Bored a 5 deep hole in a matter of seconds and the hole is nice and smooth and true to size.

We use these to drill holes for timber frame construction- and they're worth it. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Drills very nice clean holes in my workbench. Unfortunately, holes are too small for 3/4 dowels or steel rod to use as bench dogs. Now to figure out how to ream to correct size. Would not purchase again.
