I bought this cart for purely practical reasons. I needed a convenient, portable place to store some medical supplies, giving me quick and easy access. I didn't want an ugly metal, medical-looking item in my bedroom. The cart turned out to be much nicer than expected and made me wish I was using it to serve teacakes! The fact that it looks good makes me feel better about keeping medical supplies in the open, as they are for my convenience. If I had the need, I would definitely buy one to have in my dining room.

Assembly was fairly easy, pictorial directions, parts fit well, took about an hour. I used glue on the numerous wood dowel pegs, which the instructions do not require.It's attractive and rolls easily on carpet or wood floor. This is our second unit. So yes, we like it and would recommend.

Some seasons of the year, we dine on a 'sun porch'. It has glass-enclosed window as a 4-season room. It's down 3 steps from the main living area. We're feeling that it is somewhat dangerous to bring meal dishes down the stairs. Our compromise is to wheel the dishes to the head of the stairs, transfer them one at a time from cart 1 to cart 2...wheel them to the table on the sun porch. We're not getting any younger and this feels like a safer way to do it. When we eat in the dining room during dark winter months, it is still good to wheel the dishes and platters on the same level.
