I ordered this to store my son's Lego and it works well for that. It was easy to assemble and I like that its solid wood instead of the pressboard rubbish. The color is a very dark/espresso type brown. I would have preferred if the sides and back were closed and more bookshelf like. The baskets look nice but not sure how long they will last.

These are beautiful, sturdy shelves, with very attractive baskets. So easy to assemble that my 12-year-old granddaughter built them by herself!! The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that one of the back braces was missing from the second set of shelves. Not a deal-breaker, because the back is hidden against a wall, which also keeps the baskets from falling out, but the omission indicates not so great quality control.

The rattan isn't in the best shape on three of the baskets. I didn't want to deal with sending them back, figuring the odds were the replacements would have the same issues, and it is probably common for them to look that way after some use anyway. Other than that, I like the look of the shelf.

I absolutely love this piece of furniture. I was initially a little concerned that it would be a bit flimsy but that just hasn't been the case. The wood is beautiful and the shelves are sturdy. Assembly was simple. Will definitely purchase from this manufacturer again.

I've had this for about two years. Still love it, although when I open and close the baskets, it scratches the wood on the shelf. Pretty sturdy, have a small fish tank on top.

So the furniture piece came without any damage as mentioned in some of the other posts, but the baskets came in the walnut finish and the ad specifically says that they would be an espresso finish. That is probably the only complaint I have, As the furniture looked nice despite the discrepancy and I wasn't going to take all that time to send the whole thing back. You will probably need to put felt pads under the basket as the rattan will easily scratch the wood and devalue your piece. You probably won't find anything this nice that is real wood.
