This shoe rack came packaged well ready for assembly. It is a good size to hold twelve pairs of shoes. Other smaller racks are limited to about nine pairs. So for a little larger unit you are able to accommodate a few more pairs. I gave this four stars as the quality control on one small piece of wood could have been refined better. Otherwise when it is filled with shoes that area is not visible. It feels quite sturdy to use as well.

Just needed something cheap for our now 4 kids to put their shoes on in the laundry room as I'm tired of constantly having them laying all over the place and tripping on them. The slats are great for allowing the dirt to fall thru so it's easy to just sweep up the dirt under it, might get into other shoes but they haven't complained, and the insides of their shoes are probably dirty anyway. Came with two cracked/split boards on the seat but doesn't impair function or stability after a few months of use. It probably holds about 12-14 pairs of various kids sized shoes on the shelves.

Assembly was easy, and the finish looks nice in person. I mean, it holds shoes or other various items... you really get what you expect.
