My old one was on it's last leg when trying to solder one last wire before it quit. I've had problems with it for a long time and it was just struggle to finish a job until it fell against a wall...:)My new one is such a pleasure to use I should have replaced the old one years ago.Very quick heating and cooling make it so easy to use.Two position switch with the half trigger position on high and full trigger position medium. Took me awhile to figure that one.Very heavy duty and well made.Love using it.

Good product, how ever it was delivered in the box right off the shelf. No tape or packaging. Just opened the box lid to expose the product. Never had a delivery like that. Should have been repackaged or at least taped closed.

Double Trigger Pull is a bit strong for my liking. Doesn't heat very fast. What ever happened to copper tips?I couldn't find my original Weller -- just the gray box and one used copper tip :(

This soldering gun was purchased to improve ability to solder electrical joints on motors and and generators without a flame heat source. It works much better than my lighter weight guns, and gets the job done. I like it!

If you do a lot of soldering or want a really hot iron to make good solder joints you should get this gun. Wellers are heavy duty and very tough.
