Loved the temperature adjustment knob. I used it to solder wires on a trailer and also to solder wires to battery terminals on a bubbles box for live bait. Will be using for more electronics.

Great for my current needs of RC soldering electronics. Easy to use. Weller made good products during my childhood so I have some brand loyalty (whether in 2023 it is warranted or not I cant say).

Does exactly whats its supposed to do. It is a Weller after all. It's reliable and maintains a stable temp so you don't over heat components or tracers on boards etc.

The only thing I would change is to display temperature instead of simple numerical index on the heat knob.

This one is a winner! The Weller WLC100 ($51) replaces a very similar 40-year old ultra-reliable Weller commercial soldering station that finally gave out. This new model is thankfully more compact and a bit nicer -- and it performs every bit as well. For heat control, the 5-position knob is handy and works great (no digital readout, but really not needed). Also, the price is less than half of the current deluxe 2-piece model with a digital display (W1010NA - $115).Sadly, according to Weller, the WLC100 model has recently been discontinued. If you're interested in getting one, buy it right away as they are disappearing fast. In my opinion, this model is far superior to the model that replaces it (WLSK8012A - $69).Having at least a 40-watt iron with adjustable heat and a stable place to put the hot iron are must-have features in my book. The WLC100 meets my needs perfectly for electronic work and general soldering of smaller items. This new Weller puts a smile on my face everytime I use it. Check it out for yourself.
