Works great for cutting cigars, action is smooth and the blades are sharp. It looks good and feels solid and well constructed.I gave it 4 stars because the design can cause problems. Since the sides recess into the housing it can pinch the fleshy parts of your hand and result in an incomplete cut. It can be repositioned and complete the cut but there are other cutters that work just as well and don't have the pinching problem.My personal favorite's the Colibri Cut

The cutter is extremely elegant. It battles a bit with larger ring gauges ( 60 and above). The blades could be a little sharper as there was a little hesitation when I cut my Montecristo last night.<br /><br />Is there any way of sharpening it?

It really is a beautiful Cigar Cutter. Heavy and well made. Does a great job cutting cleanly through your cigar. I do have a small negative, it does not balance well in my hand like a xicar cutter. I have very large hands and lets face it, not very well coordinated. This cutter feels and looks fabulous!

Heavy shiny metal will cut probably 56 with ease u still can cut the 60 ring gauge if u squeeze it little bit.

Even better than it looks. This si a wonderful, sharp, solid and sturdy cutter. It is perfect for a great cut without even bending the leaves in the Cigar.
