There are several “OEM replacement” sensors offered at a lower cost. This is a true OEM part from Trane. If you are remotely mechanically inclined, have a properly sized nut driver, and have the manual for your furnace (if this is your first time replacing the flame sensor you may need to refer to it for location of the sensor), this installs in 5 minutes or less. Fixes “double start” issue or “short ignition” issue. You can sometimes get by with cleaning carbon build up off the existing sensor, but for under $15 it is better to replace with OEM new.
