Had our previous National/Panasonic rice cooker for over thirty years. It finally failed. In searching for a replacement I mostly saw multi purposes hot pot cookers that did many things in addition to cooking rice. They were costly and had unneeded features. Im aware of this brand and, after seeing that it was a dedicated rice cooker, purchased it. It does exactly what we want and is of similar quality as our previous unit. If you just want a rice cooker I can highly recommend this one.
