I took my dog to a friends house whose yard was COVERED in fleas. I tried everything to get rid of them and nothing worked. My poor dog was getting chewed up and they were started to get me too. I gave her numerous baths with dawn and tried the expensive flea drops. Still would find fleas on her a couple days later. I treated my yard and my house and they were still on her. Finally a man at Petco recommended the Seresto flea collar. I have always heard flea collars didn't work and I had already spent a ton of money trying to get rid of the darn fleas and this was a pricier option. However, he informed me that the collar lasts up to 6 months so it's actually not that bad for a deal for that long of protection. I went ahead and decided to try it because my poor baby was miserable and I was tried of scratching like a crack head. I was amazed at how quick it worked.. by the next day all the fleas were. I did not comb out a single flea. I gave her skin a couple days to heal before giving her another dawn bath but she didn't even need it. They wear gone. Her skin healed up and they never game back. It's been 3 years since I started using it and she hasn't had a flea problem since. They actually do last up to 6 months. I can't believe how awesome this collar is. She is a border collie mix and 40 lbs- I get the Large dog collar for her. She is active and swims at the dog park so I was told that if if gets wet, the collar does not last as long. I recommend this collar to everyone I know with a flea problem and everyone is blown away at the results.

Definitely the best solution I have found to repel wood ticks. After the representative from Frontline told me that Frontline is not intended to repel ticks, but only to kill them AFTER they fall off your dog fully engorged, I sought a new solution. this year was a bad tick year in Wisconsin, and yet I only found a total of 2 ticks on my 3 dogs (and many more than that on myself). I wish they made tick collars in my size ;O)

Kind of fits funny and the tie keeps coming undone. Seems like it would fit someone a little larger better.
