These children's chef hats were easy to wear and has elastic along the back to keep it from slipping on their face. It is a nice quality cotton material and dark black. For sizing (when looking at photo attached to this review), left to right on kids: size medium (perfect fit), size large (too snug, she has a larger head), size medium (had to safety pin the back because he is smaller and it kept sliding down, last child wore a medium (perfect fit).

I bought this item in the "M" size for my 8 yr old kiddo who's an aspiring pastry chef. It fits perfectly. Not tight, but not loose either. It has a little bit more room to grow into, until they move up to the bigger size. I love the fabric because it feels very sturdy, and the color is as depicted on the listing. Thanks! :)

I gave this chefs hat to my 12y niece for her birthday. She has a large head, I guess. The fit was quite tight, and it had to sit on top of her head not covering the back of the hair. I told her it's normal, but she probably won't wear it.

My 6y/o looks adorable while she is "chef-ing" in this hat and her apron. The hat fits well and makes cooking fun. It is also well priced and shipped quickly.

Loved the chef hat. I ordered two for my 4 1/2 yr old grandson. One for dress up play, and one for his cooking class at school. Even his 2yr old brother loves to pretend he's a chef like his big brother!
