Correct fit

Great overall pants. I have gotten three years of daily use out of them

Not impressed. Good quality. Just baggy.

Very comfortable lightweight material to wear in casual settings.

First off, I really like these pants. The material is nice feeling and durable, the color is nice, the fit is great. The small patches of velcro for the back pockets are more of an annoyance than a feature. If you actually use the pocket, they aren't going to close and most of the time, they'll come undone anyway because the strip is too small. Just use buttons or nothing Columbia! My biggest gripe is with how badly they wrinkle after washing. I've never had pants that wrinkle this badly. It could be the load is too large, but these are the only pants that wrinkle like this in the load.

I tried a few pairs of Columbia's ROC pants in black and khaki in 34, 35, and 36 sizes. These are good pants and a solid choice if you can overlook some drawbacks:(1) The velcro closures on the side and back pockets are very small. It's a challenge to line them up to close securely. Velcro closures on a pant at this price point are an odd design choice to begin with, but then to make them so tiny seems like a “bean counter” choice as well. Buttons or zippers on the pockets would have looked better and been more functional.(2) The fabric holds dirt, lint, and pet hair. Other reviewers have mentioned this as well. If you own pets that shed, do not under any circumstances order black.Otherwise, these are just fine. Swap out the velcro for a nicer alternative and tighten the weave a bit, and they would be darn near perfect.
