Fits my s21 Ultra well. Haven't tested out the cart function, but my pokemon silver and red carts need the batt changed out anyway.The only downside I have is that it's a little too thick. A few minutes and my thumbs are a little sore. The construction is a little flimsy but I'm not complaining too much. It's just how it goes. It's nice to have tactile buttons while playing gameboy games.

I use this just as a controller. I don't care about the other stuff. Some old gameboy games just need those button controls, otherwise you're floaty with finger placements. My note 8 is just the right size, but gotta take off my case, which makes this a little less everyday mobile. The only other critique I have is this thing sets off the counter-pirating software in games cartridges sometimes. I tried an ancient game and the first thing that happens is a message about pirating pops up, which I needed to remove the controller to get off my phone. After testing it a bit, every 2 or 3 times out of 6 tries pops up the cartridge I tried. So I'd just go with emulators on this one tbh.

We used it on a OnePlus 7T Pro 5G and so far it's amazing. Haven't used an actual cartridge yet since we didn't have one available at the moment. Downloaded the Smartaboy Companion app just to make sure the phone recognized the device, used the John GBC Lite app for the roms and configured a new layout on the Gamepad settings to use the device.

Its neat but not what id hoped for. if you want to download old gb/c games its cool but if you want to use your phone as a gameboy its not all that its made to be. It like others have said does not play the cartridge directly. it copies the data and uses an alternate emulayor to run it. Meaning you can not save to cartridge either. I purchased to get my data off a gameboy camera and it did not even load the file. very disappointed. was a complete waste.of money in my experience.. but does what advertised and does have back trigers so can play gameboy advanced games with it as well. to program you can use the provided long cable. so does have a little extra value.

it lacks adequate software, which makes it a misleading product, it does not reproduce cartridges, it copies them to the phone and moves them with an emulator. works with any emulator in the store.In addition, the one that covers half the screen forces you to remove it repeatedly, that makes its handling very uncomfortable.
