the tread piece is not attached very well but you get what you pay for - these definitely help avoid ankle pain

These are very comfortable, a nice weight. They are very light, but they hang down so its not impossible to get your foot into the stirrup if you lose it at a trot/canter. The 2 1/2 is a bit too narrow for my western saddle fenders, unfortunately, so I am just dealing with them being narrow, I wish I had gotten the wider top.
