I got this for my son for Halloween last year. I bought it one size bigger than he would have worn so it would fit over his coat (thanks to Michigan weather). It held up pretty well! We generally just expect a costume to be worn once, but we gave it to him after for just wearing around the house or whatever. It's a nice costume. Just make sure your kid wears a long sleeve shirt under it, the fur sleeves are itchy!

My son's birthday is the day before Halloween, so Halloween and costumes are a big deal for our family. My kids are 8 and 5 and they still let us do family costumes. My kids were big fans of Guardians of the Galaxy, so I went as Gamora, my husband as Star Lord, my 8 year old daughter as Rocket, and my 5 year old son as Groot and my son decided he wanted to have a dress up Guardian of the Galaxy party for his birthday. This outfit was so fun and he got lots of compliments. My 5 year old normally wears a 5-6 and we ordered a small and it fit well. It's a thin costume so we put clothes on under it to stay warm. The mask is soft, but not super breathable. My five year old wore the mask some, but overall he preferred to leave it off and I eventually just painted his face. We are rough on costumes because we participate in a lot of activities and birthday parties. We ran it through the washer and dryer multiple times and it held up great.

Fun for the price. Fits my 7 year old daughter loosely and my 8 year old son perfectly. Typical Rubies quality.
