Functionally, this bag is (almost) identical to the canvas bags of similar design by Rothco or Everest, so if you’re familiar with those, you’ll have the same spacious compartments and pocket configuration, with some slight differences (magnetic snaps instead of Velcro, mainly). If, like me, you find that design to be great but want something a bit more presentable than canvas and Velcro, this is it.On to the quality, then.The leather is stiff upon arrival, but at just under 7 months of use as of this writing, it has become soft and nicely broken in.The magnetic snaps are great. Top flap closes very easily, and generally stays closed. Not as secure as velcro, but doesn't alert the room when you open it either, so a very fair trade-off.There are the occasional loose threads. Minor stuff.The corner of the leather on the two side straps have separated a tiny bit from their backing; it's small (about half an inch) and it stops at the stitch. Not ideal, but again, overall it’s minor stuff.The biggest issue is that, 7 months in, I had to drop it off at a repair shop this afternoon because the stitching on the shoulder strap separated from the bag. It's a clean separation, just loose threads, no tearing. It's a ten dollar fix, so it's not a deal-beaker in any way, but it's the type of thing that you might expect with mass-produced bag like this.In short, nice, but not high-end. Great as a casual everyday commuter bag. And the roomiest, most practical layout I've been able to find in any leather bag.

I had the original canvas version of the bag for about 8 years, when it wore out I figured I'd upgrade to the leather version. Looks great and looks rugged enough for daily carry - so far I've been carrying it daily with no issues
