Lancer is about 7 or 8 bucks more, but they are more versatile and better quality. The built-in NVG shroud didn't fit my mount and had to be modified with Dremel. Then the mount wasn't as secure as it should have been, and don't want to trust my $3K goggle to it. Chin strap is uncomfortable after extended use. None of this is a big deal, just my Lancer worked right out of the box. Decided to use this helmet with a cheaper Gen 1 NVG instead and epoxied mount directly to shroud. This set up works fine for my home security - Pulsar Edge Gen1 NVG, mounted Howard Leight electronic ears, XYShine 5w zoomable IR flashlight, and OSdream helmet counterbalance pouch. I'll post a picture when I can, in the process of camoing this up.
