This is as advertised. It's a 12" synthetic head frame drum. I got it because I wanted something easy to transport that wouldn't be a huge loss if it was broken or stole. I also wanted something that had a decent sound. It is all that, but it is no comparison to my other, larger drums. When looking at it from that point of view, this is a huge disappointment. For $20ish it's a good buy though.

is ok for the price, but not as advertised... No holes in frame to add a holder to it, is very bright sounding & was expecting a bit less brightness in sound...

I did not hesitate to buy the 2x10 drum from Remo, as my experience is that their products are excellent. But the product description says there are holes or notches around the frame for your thumb or to loop a string to hang it with, and this is not the case. Still a good drum, but the product description needs to be more accurate.
