We have had to replace our plastic version of this multiple times as it gets dry and cracked and eventually falls apart. We saw this metal version and the fit is good, and it installed pretty close to the other holes (and we did also replace the cabinet face right after installing it and it fit well in the new face too.) It SEEMS like it will hold up better and longer and certainly LOOKS cleaner than the other where we keep our dishwasher tabs (in a baggie so they won't corrode it), some toothbrushes for cleaning, sink stoppers and a couple of sponges that tend to be wet when put in. So fingers are crossed we can get more than a year out of it, but this shelf/bin in front of the sink is something I really really like to have in my kitchen so here's hoping! Plus, my dad was a designer engineer of some of the early Rev-A-Shelf products, so we are really picky about favoring Rev-A-Shelf. Glad to see the company is still out there making really cool stuff!

I guess they felt they wanted to challenge me and not include the hinge template. That made things a lot harder as far as installation. Otherwise a great product.

This is a high quality product and was relatively easy to figure out how to install it, thanks to my son who helped us. We actually were better off without the instructions as they actually confused us at first. I love the soft close mechanism and the long length of it for my laundry room sink. It is a fantastic product.

Easy to install and looks great. Fit perfectly. Followed the directions exactly, and the sink face door closes tightly with no gaps. I really like the soft-close hinges. Note: mine came with two different instruction sheets. One sheet mentioned using an included template to mark hinge holes for drilling, one sheet used only measurements. I called Rev-a-shelf to ask for a template. They said soft-close hinges do not have a template, and to use the instruction sheet with only measurements. No biggie, it still installed easily. Before I removed the sink door, I put painter's tape on the cabinet face frame around the outside edge of the door, to make sure the door was in the exact same place after installation...and it was, with no adjustments needed. This also helped with figuring the reveal measurement on the instruction sheet. Without the door tilted out, it looks exactly like it did before installation...which is what I wanted. Our previous cabinets had a tilt-out tray, but it was white plastic. The stainless steel tray is a nice upgrade.
